Aperture

Well, I have a valid excuse for waiting to post for so long this time....I promise!

We went out of town for Spring Break and most of the time I was not able to play on my laptop or did not have access to the internet. I will post about all of that fun when I have time to get some pictures together.

For tonight, I just wanted to get in a quick post to let you know we are all doing pretty well and see what you thought about my picture taking abilities. Uncle B helped me out by looking at my camera and playing with the settings and showing (and explaining) me what I need to do to make my subject stand out nice and crisp and have a fuzzy background.

I have been trying to read up on this for a LONG time now and it has been driving me crazy!! (ok..crazier than I already am)

So, here are some pics (with NO editing) that I took after practicing. I was driving my boys nuts because they try to dodge getting their picture taken (which drives me nuts and makes it hard for me to have any practice subjects). What do you think?

This is the dummy Uncle B practiced on.

My turn...BA getting ready to eat!
I like the smoke floating in front of his face.

How about this one of Taz?
He was getting ready to take a drink.

Here is Roo about to get a kiss from
Harley (my Nephew M's dog).

It's hard to get a pic of Roo with a fuzzy background since he is typically laying or leaning right against something.

So? Not too bad right? Keep in mind that I did NOT edit these in any way!

OK, I am off to bed and will give you our vacation details (for those of you that did not follow me on Twitter...cause I tweeted the whole time. I could still text without internet.).

Oh, I didn't post here yesterday because I was busy posting in Roo's blog...see here. Yesterday was the actual DAY for National Cerebral Palsy Awareness. Please go read some more facts over on his blog and at our friends blog Life of Logan, where you can grab one of these cool buttons!

Happy CP day - glad you got the camera thing figured out. I couldn't really see anything via Skype. Nice to have that photographer in the family ;)
